The IPA was fashioned to survive the long voyage from England to India during the British colonization. Hops, hops, and more hops! Red Racer IPA has an intense aroma and a long lingering finish. A beer for the connoisseur, this is the brewmaster’s choice.

Okay dark gold clear body with a modest pillow of head. Aroma is sour hops, a fair amount of complexity amongst the hop aroma. Flavour is a mix of sweet and bitter hops with just a touch of malt. Dry finish, good mouthfeel, a fine IPA.

Thanks to Alen for this one! Can looks good, I think in Germany one would exspect a beermix in it. Beer in the glass very zippy, deep orange. Starts intense malty, flowery, a bit sweet. More and more dry, finish a bit woody-scratchy, but not too much. Finish still intense hoppy, not too dry. Quite drinkable and a great IPA!

Can thanks to savvy1982. Pours with a hazed orange body and a off-white head. Great lace (ring per sip) and retention. Aromas of caramel, citrus, orange slices, lightly herbal, light tropical fruits, sort of a candyish toffee quality to it. Flavors are bitter, dry, grainy, husky and some hop fruitiness. Light citrus tea. Mandarin oranges. Not the most assertive or hoppy IPA ever, but it is nicely bitter and easy to drink (and thankfully not sweet). Medium to lively bubbles. Dry. Not exactly styled like a west-coast IPA, but surprisingly tasty for sure!

Can. Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head that dissipated quickly to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma is full of strong pine with a slight resin note and a backing sweet biscuit note. Flavor has the pine hops slightly more reigned in, but there is still a bit of resin and the same sweet malt backing.

12oz can-thanks jtclockwork for sharing-pours a thin light tan head and copper color. Aroma is pine/resin/pineapple. Taste is pine/resin/pineapple hps with some bite, secondary medium malt-caramel. Finishes dry/piney. OK carbonation.

2800th Rating Beer: Great caramel coloured body with an orange glow and a dense (four centimetres tall) tan head. Aroma of pure fresh cascade hops - amazing smell. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop bite with a good floral and grapefruity taste, all with a potent and nice malt balance and fresh fruit taste with lemons coming in afterwards. Overall, a very nice and freshly hopped IPA that sits up very well in this age of imperial everything - this is a great, traditional IPA with a great balance that doesn’t need any gimmicks - of course, the can helps too ;-) Definitely worth trying if you can get your hands on it - I don’t know how it ended up in my local store! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased as a six pack from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 01-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 21-October-2010.

Can thanks to Scrizz. Pours clear amber. Strong nose of hops and citrus as soon as can pops. Wow!. Nose/taste of hops, citrus, caramel malts. Dry pine finish.

Courtesy of markwise. The can pours clear copper with nice tan head. The aroma has plenty of pine hops mixing with crystal malts and sweet malts. The taste is smooth malts and firm full pine hop goodness. These notes slide into the finish un-wavering. Very nice IPA.

can thanks to Savvy1982, your the man Kyle, thanks for this! Pours light orange with a tall frothy white head. Aroma is out of this world. Super pine hop and spruce with lots of grassy and dank notes. Flavor is super rich pale and toasted malts with a huge pine hop finish that again has lots of herbal, grassy, and cannibus notes. Awesome stuff....this is what I want in an IPA.

12 ounce can from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus hops and a bit of toffee. The taste is bitter leafy, citrus hops with a bit of a tart finish and not enough malt to back it up. Medium bodied. Better than the pale, but still lacking.
