A full, brassy nose of noble German hops leaps from this beer as roasted malt aromas play in the background. The dry, toasted malt flavor takes over the tongue like a crisp, dark pretzel while the hops bring a mineral sharpness as a refreshing finish to this dark lager.

Draught. Pours v dark with slightly creamy head and red brown tinges. Not much aroma. Weird malt and grass. A very odd one.

A really unusual brew. On tap at Fat Heads. Pours a brown color with a medium white head. A light nose of pine and sweet Pils malt. The flavor is rich bitter hops, pine, roast, chocolate. All in a pretty small beer. Good. Interesting and drinkable.

Growler pours a watery, opaque black with some creamy, white head. Nose is nice, fruit, malt, chocolate, plum. Flavor is malty, brown sugar, chocolate, grass, a little vegetal. Dry finish. Insanely drinkable.

Deep copper pour. Aroma had plenty of earthy hops and medium roasty malts. Bitter like a hopped up pils but with a light roasted malt note, too. Finish had a nice bite to it. Not what I expected but quite nice.
