Bottle during Sarkynorthener 5k and Faggot night cheers Martin; hazy dark brown pour with a big bubbly magnolia head, aroma has smoke and sweet malts, taste has smoked meats, sweet caramel, not a style for me.

Bottle from Monster Magnet. EU Local Swap. Thank you. Darkest chestnut. Almost opaque. Thick foamy beige head. Hazy smoky aroma. Initial sweet and sour, tart berries and stewed fruit - took me back on my first sip. The smoke then defines the finish, which is tangy and pleasant. Light-medium bodied. Slick - the smokiness gives an impression of adding to the mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Long finish. Hadn't noticed that this was smoked. But as I like a smoked beer that is no be thing. More interesting than any of the other Alts I've tried.

Bottle. Color: Dark ruby, bit hazy, frothy beige head. Taste: Rather complex mix of medium sweet and mildly sour notes, smoke, woody, hints of overripe red fruit (berries) and brown sugar. Dry mouthfeel at finish. Medium to full body, low carbonation. Very nice beer, unusual taste.

Bottle, batch ALT-334 (from het biermoment). Pours dark amber with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is intense smoke, sausages, tar, malt, some fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, smoke, malt, bacon, caramel. Finish is long sweet, fruits, and tar. Overall: good, but bit too sweet, also more smoked than alt.

Fast gone yellowish head over faintly veiled chestnut beer. Very nice, smoky/ smoked ham nose, orangezeste. Sweeter than Bamberger Rauchbeer, but still almost the same complexity as Schlenkerla. Light body, light slickness, undercarbonated. Quite good, if the body might have benefitted from a bit more beefing.
