Bottle. Pours clear reddish brown with large spongy beige head, spicy caramel malt aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter caramel malt taste with cinnamon and cloves, thin body, long spicy bitter finish. A bitter one.

Tiefdunkle Farbe, malzig-alkoholische Note. Danke an John!!

12 oz bottle. Poured a dark copper color. Aroma is malty, roasted malts, caramel, touch of dried fruits. Flavor was toffee, caramel, roasted malts. Beer was quite easy t o consume, shocked by the alcohol content after consuming it. No wonder why I went to bed almost immediately afterward.

Consumed 2-9-10--dotted lacing with a wispy beige head...light caramel malty aroma--plums, I taste plums--flavors and aromas are weak--it has sat around for quite some time though--perhaps its lost its luster, but I don’t recall this being spectacular in its prime either---an odd sweet sour finish
