(Tap) clear, fluorescent orange amber colour with a small tan head; slightly creamy palate; sweet, malty aroma; light, balanced, but simple flavour with a long, very light bitter finish

Undated bottle > tulip A: Clear pale copper color with a short thick head that held for a couple minutes, leaving patchy lace. S: Some leafy hop notes and caramel/toffee sweetness. T: A bit watery and simple but flavors of tart orange and grainy malts are present and nicely balanced with a peppery finish. M: Again thin and watery but still clean and crisp. O: Just tasty enough to be vaguely interesting. There are better ambers but maybe not at low ABV. Points taken for no dating. This brewer's dating system is ridiculous when it's there but inexcusable when entirely missing from the bottles, which is often.

Bottle from Harris Teeter, Hampstead, North Carolina. Amber brown with a thickish frothy-bubbly head. Crisp, sweet hoppy beer with a slightly gritty darker malt influence.

Bot. Smells like a big malty brew. Looks like a yuengy. Big malty taste. Middle goes a little medicinal. Some carbonation. Slightly cooler than room temperature. A little fruit in there sometimes, alky soaked fruit, just a little. Gets a little difficult near the end. Yes, malt effects are prevalent throughout the session. Not sure if any hops are detected or not.

Draft - Caramel on the nose. Clear amber with a decent head. Caramel, light hoppy bitterness and a nice finish. Basic, but well done.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice copper color, with a medium, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is toffee, juniper, almonds, raisins, and some light cardamon. Sweet flavor throughout, with just a touch of bitterness. Medium body, thick, and a little crisp and harsh. This is a pretty good, malty amber ale. Not overly deep or complex, but solid, well-made, and crisp.
