Cleveland’s celebration of Oktoberfest dates to the mid 1800’s when German immigrants gathered at outdoor beer gardens like Haltnorth’s and Kindvater’s St. Clair Gardens. Our amber lager with rich malt flavor and noble hops honors Cleveland’s diverse cultural heritage.

12 oz. bottle from Wegmans, in Niagara New York. Pours a crystal clear bronze color with an off white head and good retention. Decent lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Classic American Oktoberfest profile with sweet caramel malt flavor and a crisp, clean finish. No bitterness. Medium body. Lightly crisp mouthfeel with low carbonation. Good beer.

2021 Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear copper with a finger of beige head that dissipates. Lovely bready malt aromas with pepper and toffee notes. Not overly sweet thankfully on the palate. Dried honey, nuts and toasted toffee flavors come through. Lingering pepper and slight mineral notes. Really enjoyable.

Bottle: Almost clear amber with a short, off-white head. Orange, leafy aroma. Taste is sweet orange/toffee malts.... Vanilla, sweet grain malt. Almost candied.... Very malty, but a bit too sweet, however.

Honey and pecan nose. Clear copper, medium yellow head. Pecan dominant, bready and doughy at midpalate. Finishes with dinner rolls, only very slightly sweet. Medium body, easy carbonation. Quite nice.
