Sunlight Cream Ale is our most approachable beer and is a great introduction to the world of Craft Beer. Cream ale is one of the earliest styles of American beer, but was virtually wiped out by American lager brewers.
Our Cream Ale is an all malt beer. Only the finest quality barley, wheat and oats are used to give this beer it’s smooth malt profile which is delicately balanced with American hops and a cool fermentation to give this beer a crisp, clean finish.

From an old can that was kept in the fridge. Aroma is heavy caramel, which I think is a result of the age. Flavor reflects that too. Not a bad, beer; just not much of a cream ale at this point.

Can. Pours a clear gold with small off white head. The aroma is cream, toast, bready malt. Medium mouthfeel with sweet bready malt, cream, sweet finish. Decent.

16oz can courtesy of Trent!
It pours a straw yellow with a 2 finger head of foam.
I get floral hops and some caramel malt in the smell.
The malt in the taste is more of a grainy variety with the hops giving me a lemony kind of bitterness, not tartness, mind you. A bit of corn is noticeable but not a huge detraction.
Fairly light bodied, it does have a weak kind of watery finish.
Cream Ales are not a style that will turn heads but...this is a very good example of the style and it is certainly an easy drinking brew. I like.

Golden colour, grainy aroma with lots of alcohol harshness. Similar palate, tastes industrial, bland, touch of pale malt but touch of acidity as well.

A yellow beer. Some sweetness but no perceivable hops. Underflavored as pretty much all cream ales are. Not much to like.

Can @ home picked up at Highlands Liquor. Pours a fairly clear golden yellow appearance with an off white head. Corn, candy, vanilla, sweet malty aroma that’s almost like a malt liquor. Fairly clean, Budweiser-esque flavor with some rice/corny/sweet notes. Nothing particularly off but really reminiscent of a macro lager.

Draft. From notes. Corn and citrus. Very drinkable but not very special. Nothing I would seek out again.
