33cl bottle pour at Max’s Belgian Fest 2014. Pours a striated, hazy orange with lots of frothy white head. Nose is herbal, heavy grapefruit, juicy, some grass, hay, soap. Flavor has a ton of grapefruit, soapy, herbal, mild grass, mild funk. Very soapy, herbal finish. Odd.

Sage heavy nose thyme accents. Hazy yellow, thin head. Lemon, sage flavor. Herbalicious. Dank and awesome. Lightly tart but delicious.

Bottle shared by maniac at the 19th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a thin frothy head. Fair head retention. Aroma of sage, stone fruits, herbal notes, floral notes, citrus. The taste is intensely herbal with some dry citrus. The herbalness over takes the wood character, but it’s a nice beer.

A massive thanks to Ed for sharing this bad boy, and a massiver thanks to Casey at Max’s for giving it to Ed in the first place! Cloudy golden yellow color, small white head. Aroma of dried apricots, peaches, lemon peel, vanilla. Taste is fruity, dusty, complex, dry finish. Lots of character in this one. A real winner!
