On Tap at Homestead. Clear deep golden pour with a dense bright white head. Nice bright citrus and grapefruit aroma. Rather harsh almost chemically hop flavor and bite. Citrus pithy but quite sharp and stinging.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is a delicious IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink; despite the aggressively bitter/resinous/drying finish. Great Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; nice solid bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on classic tasting West Coast style example.

Bottled 355ml (Beer Republic, no date mark)
Mostly clear golden color, small white head. Hop oily piney, resiny aroma. Medium-bodied. Front has fruity sweetish hoppyness, then pine and resin leading to citrusy finish. Bottle is in a good shape, must be outstanding from fresh tap. Tasty and balanced.
