Bottle. Mitchell’s, Sheffield. Clear, coppery amber. Film of sticky, off white head. Nose has nutty raisin malts. Soft, fruity toffee. Some vinous tang. Some fruity esters. Taste is nutty and vine fruit sweet. Minimal bitterness. More of the tang. Light to medium body. Light, tangy bitter finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep orange amber with a thin head. Nose - light toffee, honey, sweet malt. Taste - light honey, caramel, sweet malt. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid but not like in Munich.

Draught @ Brewdog Helsinki. Poured mahogany color with a thin white head. Grainy malty, nutty aroma. Bready malty, grainy flavors. Good drinkability. Crisp. Light.

Bottle. Malty nose, caramel, chocolate, toasty and almost roasty. Close to a toasty Vienna. Pretty brown with orange and a low, fine head. Clear. Toasty flavor with some chewy caramel. Strangely toasty. Definitely unique for the style but tasty and very well made. Not traditional.

On Tap Clear chestnut brown Scan fleeting head retreating to a thin ring Malty liht toasted aromas and flavors. Clean and smooth.

12 oz bottle from work. Aroma is doughy, bready, caramelly, toast. Pours clear amber with a medium bone-white head with decent retention. Taste is too sweet for my tastes, very bready. Some alcohol warmth. Kind of thin and watery. It’s not too bad, just not my cup of tea. I’ll drink it, though.

Draft. Amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted grain, caramel, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. A bit of raw, dusty grain in the finish. Average.

12 ounce bottle. Deep copper color with a small creamy beige head. Toasted malt nose with notes of caramel, cooked beets and toast. Flavor is more of the same with a hint of toasted nuts and brown sugar. Slightly metallic notes in midtaste. Cloying mouthfeel with a smooth spicy hop finish. Quite tasty and a worthy example of an American style Marzenbier.
