En stark och värmande porter för vinterkvällen. Robust och balanserad med lång avslutning.
Valsviken som ligger på norra Järflotta användes förr som lävik för fiskarna vid läggning av sina strömmingsskötar öster om Valsudden. Denna starka och värmande porter bryggdes med hela sju olika maltsorter och har lagrats under lika många månader. Som alla våra öl är den opastöriserad – och bryggd med omsorg och kärlek.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish. 150213

Bottle. Very dark brown with tiny beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, soy and a little coffee. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, medium sweet, little soy, little burned, hops, little liquorice and medium bitter.

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, cacao, black rye bread, soy sauce, liquorice, tobacco and a touch of smoke and tar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, black rye bread, soy sauce, dried fruit and a touch of tar. Generous cacao bitterness in a finish with a certain sweetness. More than medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel. Very nice.

Sample @ Porterfestivalen in Gothenburg on November 19. Pours dark brown with almost no head. Smell is lots of chocolate, prunes and alcohol. Taste is big, sweet and slightly acidic with smoked wood, raisins, prunes, coffee and some bitter chocolate.

25cl bottle, courtesy of and shared with Gnoff. Brune foncée, beige. Arôme offre une belle note de soja montrant un peu d’age. Au palais, malt chocolaté sec, avec pas mal de caramel, sucre lactose et caramel brulé. Toffee et biscuité le tout sur un fini légèrement houblonné laissant une pointe d’amertume. Le niveau alcool reste présent sans être de trop, mais la bière reste néanmoins bien épaisse au palais.
