Buckden “Black” porter was first brewed for the winter 2010. Not as heavy as a stout but full of flavour with an ABV of 4.5%

Tasting notes - This dark garnet-brown beer has a welcoming aroma of biscuity malt, with a touch of liquorice and some fruit. Crisp and not too heavy, on the sweet side of bittersweet but with bitter roasted grain and contrasting fruit notes. Well roasted grain dominates the dry, bitter finish.

Some may say this is a winter drink, try it and you might want winter to stay all year round!

Dunster Beach “Dark” Porter is the same beer as Buckden “Black” Porter, but branded for the Dunster Beach holiday market. Also sold branded as The Deli - Dunster Dark Porter.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London. Pours clear brown with a light, bubbly beige foam head. Dusty toast aroma. Light sweet flavor, some charred beef, light roast, bland dark malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Bland finish, faint roasted malts, light sweetness. Kind of bland in general, I suppose.
