A: hazy dark brown, stable, frothy, tan head.
A: raisin, brown bread, mocha, prune, liquorice.
T: sweet raisin, sourish blackberry, brown bread, cookie spices.
F: earthy hops, dried fruit, spicy liquorice, bit toasty, warming liqueur-like alcohol.
P: medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.
Enjoyable, delivers on the 'dark' aspect too.

6-4-6-3-12 On tap @ Bergen Craft Beer Fest. Pours mahogany, with a big creamy, off white head. Aroma is dark malts with caramels, dark fruits and earthy minerals. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is malts with bread, toffee and kandi, as well wooden notes.

Bottled (MT/KS February tasting). Ambery brown coloured beer with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some nutty and mild yeasty notes with mild alcohol. Flavour is alcohol, some toasted notes, mild chocolate as well as nutty notes with mild yeasty/spicy notes and some alcohol sweetness.

Het bier is donker bruin van kleur met een foamend bruin schuim. Het heeft een kruidige smaak met een hint van chocolade.

23/12/2019 - tasting glass from a 33cl bottle @Keun Proeflokaal. Aged version, one of the first versions. very nice aging. Nice nose and taste. 08/07/2016 - 33cl bottle @ Eenvoudig Bestaan, Kerkhove. Hazy dark brown with creamy light tanned head. Nose is malty, bit spices, caramel. Taste is dark malts, banana, bit spices, caramel. Nice

Bottle @ In De Kroon, Mullem. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Sweet nose of caramel and banana. Taste is sweet and malty, bitter finish. Balance is ok. Not bad.

Dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour are bready and spicy. Lots of dried fruit and sugar. Reminds me of a spicy malt loaf.
