Restrained aroma. Hazy dark amber. Fruit flavors with herbal notes. A bit fizzy mouthfeel, light body. Grassy aftertaste.

Bottle. It's not my style of beer, but for those of you who like a copper/amber/slightly malty beer, you might enjoy this one. But while it did finish easy, there wasn't much too it.

Clear amber in colour, with a small white head. The aroma was almost all purely malt, but some hops were present. The taste was definately a bit 'nutty', but other flavours such as malt and a tiny bit of hops crept up in the aftertaste as well. A decent beer, but really...nothing special. I had this one out of the same bottle with DougShoemaker given to us by Lyle Ostrow at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York.

Out of the trio of distinct amber ales that I sampled tonight, this was far and away the best (against Murphy's Irish Amber and Wild Goose Amber Beer). Interesting and dry, with a pleasant maltiness and firm hoppiness.
