12oz goblet at Rustico Ballston. Pours a translucent orange gold with some thin, white head. Nose is loaded with candy sugar, pineapple candies, more tropical fruit, some spice, pear brandy. Flavor is sticky sweet, pineapple, jack fruit, brandy, some bread, a little yeast, pears, mild clove. Sticky finish. A bit too much.

Bottle shared by Shane, thanks! Poured a near clear gold with amber hue and a hint of pink. The head was white and dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a strong oak note with grain and nut coming through backed by a hint of sweet fruit. Flavor was driven by sweet grain with a backing oak and nutty note with underlying light fruit.

Sample at the Beer ’N Rock Band tasting on 08/27/2010: Pours a hazy orange color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Thin top ring of lacing with spots under it. Aroma of bananas and yeast along with some sweet malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet fruit, grain, cloves and yeast. The finish is sweet malt with a banana aftertaste. Decent beer overall.
