Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and some fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hay, and a bit of minerals, leading to a bitter finish. The body is light.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear orange golden with a small white head that quickly diminishes to nothing. The aroma is corn malt and honey. Thin mouthfeel with a dry hop with caramel and honey. Easy to drink a good Heller from Boulevard.

Pour is a bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is very grainy and corney. Flavor is better with some doughy malt and a bit of grassy hops. With that said nothing really to put this one over the top. With boulevard and SN coming out with this style recently and both being sub-par i think i might retire this style.

Completely clear golden - effervescent pour - aroma of pale malt and honey sweetness, with some underlying spicy and floral hops - the flavor is fairly similar - clean and medium-bodied - clean, pale malt sweetness - some munich sweetness lingers a little too long in the finish - otherwise, it develops a fairly appropriate hop bitterness for the style - some toasted graininess - missing some of the depth of better examples of the style, but fairly tasty.

Shaker pint on tap at the Coyote Grill in Leawood, Kansas. Pour is clear golden, with no head to speak of - what’s there is white. A bunch of fine carbonation bubbles to the top. Aroma of grassy slightly sweet grainy toasted maltiness. Clean, but faint - this was server very cold, so it took awhile for it too warm up and actually display any aroma. Taste of sweet, floral maltiness. Grainy, full flavored, really nice spice clove mild honey notes. Behind the malt and sweetness is a touch of hop bitterness in the finish. Palate is medium, coats a bit then frees up to a drier finish (with hops present). Really flavorful and easy drinking. I wasn’t expecting too much from this, but was really impressed. Though, looking at the ratings I seem to be in the minority.
