Bottle @ home. Beautiful, cloudy yellow appearance with a creamy, pearl white head that sticks around for a while. Pretty strong, unmalted wheat, yeasty, citrusy nose. A little tangy, light bodied, sweet wheat malty, quite yeasty, mildly citrusy flavor. Yeasty, citrusy aftertaste. Not super special but solid.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 7/19/11
Aroma: The nose is spice, Belgian yeast, clove, lemon, orange, and a wheat
Appearance: It pours into the glass a hazy yellow color with a bright white head
Flavor: The taste is typical of the style, wheaty and spicy, light sweet, light bitter
Palate: The body is also right on style, fairly light, with a tingly finish
Overall Impression: I wasn't overly impressed with this one, but it wasn't bad either. It is true enough to style, there just isn't really anything that stands out about it. A fine enough example of a Belgian White.

Sample at Flying Saucer in KC. The beer is a hazy yellow color with a medium thin and somewhat fizzy white head that evaporates to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Herbal aroma with notes of citrus. Light and crisp body with flavors of citrus, sweet spice and vanilla. The finish has notes of banana and citrus with a clove aftertaste. Above average overall.

12 oz bottle into tumbler. Pours hazy whitish-yellow with a medium white head that falls in a minute, leaving a blanket of foam that remains there for the entire glass. Aroma is rich in clove. Taste is sweet and spicy with no bitterness; a bit meaty, too. Nice clove flavor. Highly carbonated with a medium to light body. Nice wit, but this is one of those beers that seems to taste better straight from the bottle. I tried it over the weekend without a glass and it seemed so much better.

bottle - Hazy yellow pour with a citrus, yeasty aroma that definitely suggests some spice. The flavor is quite forward with the spice. The sweet wheat flavors are there too and it’s light bodied and refreshing. Expect more obvious spice than some wits. It works fairly well.

Bottle from Brewforia. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aromas of wheat, spice, citrus. Near medium body. Foamy carbonation. Flavor is quite spicey - clove and citrus. Suspect banana. Not sure how Belgian this is - but it’s a pretty decent drink. Orange zest is more noticeable with time.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy gold with a thick white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet wheat with underlying coriander and a hint of citrus peel. Flavor was similar with sweet wheat and underlying coriander and a bit of citrus coming out in the finish.

Bottle. Lots of banana and cloves -- spicy. Sweetish. Fruity and creamy. A little too sweet, but an okay interpretation of the style. Yeasty, rich, cereal and malt.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange yellow color with a respectable head. Crisp, pleasant mouthfeel, well carbonated. Lots of orange and citrus flavors, coriander as well I suppose. A little too spiced if anything. Lots of yeasty character as well. This is one of the better American White Ales I’ve had.
