Very cloudy golden coloured body with a ridiculously large, soapy, seven centimetre tall white head. Aroma of yeast, soap, unfinished sugars, light malt, grass and hay - interesting with some hops noticeable as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Very strong yeast note of belgian qualities with some pungent grassy and herbal flavours and a very perfumey hop character coupled with some sustained malt. Aftertaste is nice and fresh with a lot of grassy character and a good amount of belgian inspired yeast with a pungent, but low alpha acid hop note. Overall, a rather good and refreshing american pale with a herbal and grassy note that lasts indefinitely and some light malt flavours which balance out the subtle hops nicely. Well worth trying if you like this style since some of the belgian-tasting yeast brings out some complexity not usually found in this style. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina on 02-August-2014 for US$1,79 sampled at home in Washington on 15-September-2014.

12oz can at Shaw’s Tavern DC. Pours a hazy straw yellow with some lacing white head. Nose of lemon, a little orange, some candy, light pine, floral. Flavor is grassy, lemon, malt, some pine, soap, straw. Crisp finish.

Pours a hazy deep yellow under an average sized white head. Juicy malts and citrus hop aroma. The flavor is slightly bitter but there are plenty of sweet malts supporting the hops in this. Pretty decent APA.

Can at HD1. Poise a near clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a musty pine/grass note with backing earthy grains. Flavor begins with a good amount of grassiness with some earthy grains and just a hint of pine bitterness.

Can from Bruisin Ales. Pours hazy dark gold with a slight white head. Aromas of light floral and grass. Med minus body. Flavor is light floral and arguably grass. There’s not a lot of intense flavor here. It does finish bitter though, but it’s not one for hop heads.

Growler from Ale Yeah! Pours pale yellow with a thin, persistent, white head. The aroma is lemons, pilsener hops, floral hops and pale malts. The flavor is citrus sweetness and a little bitterness in the finish. The palate is light, watery, crisp, and fairly effervescent. Overall, this is a very light pale ale, with a minimal hop profile and a lot of elements of a wheat ale. Still, not too bad.
