Bottle. Cloudy golden pour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is a bit sulfury, grassy, some lactic notes, definitely some funk, mild fruit, sun tan lotion, rubber. Flavors are nice. Dry, spicy, phenols, dried fruit (pear and apricot), some spice, mild toast, light tongue numbing sensation. Lightly tart, medium funk, violent carbonation across the tongue. Mild but noticeable hop bitterness and floral note keeps things in check (very nice bitterness level for the style). Rustic. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Graeme. Pours a clear yellow with large frothy white head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus, brett, yeast, banana. Medium mouthfeel with nice brett, citrus, spice, light dryness. Good.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 10/20/13
Aroma: The aroma is pretty nicely funky and yeasty, brett, spice, and some citrus
Appearance: It pours a cloudy yellow color with a bright white, foamy head and average lace
Flavor: The taste is similar, brett, musk, and spice, mild sweet, with some tart lemon as well
Palate: The one is light bodied, it has an overly fizzy carbonation, and a dry, spicy finish
Overall Impression: Really nice example of the style. They got a nice funk presence here, and the lemony tartness and mild sweetness work nicely with the funky farmhouse flavors. Only the over carbonation keeps this from being extremely drinkable, but in general, this is really quite good.

From the April 2013 3R6P beer tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky yellow color with an enormous fluffy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tart lemon, Sweettart candies, chalk and a bit of must. The flavor was dry, dusty, musty, yeasty, chalky and had light notes of citrus and Windex. Medium dry chalk, must, citrus and Windex finish. Medium body. Ok.

Trestle Inn, Philadelphia tap ($6): Pours a slightly clouded yellow with a white head. Aroma is funk and plenty of fruitiness. Taste is very substantial considering the low alcohol. Sweet and fruity notes are throughout. Nice funkiness and a good finish. This is a nice saison I never heard of.

22 oz bomber generously shared by beastiefanf2k. The pour is a slightly hazed golden, with a small white that leaves splotchy lacing. The aroma is soft citrus grain, a light earthy leather, and a general warm earth softness that is as all well integrated. The taste leads with the leather notes of the Brett, turning towards the citrus and grain, then the flavor gets floral toward the back. The palate is medium to light bodied, sparkly carbonation and a clean dry finish. Nice one, thanks for sharing Eugene.

22oz bomber split 3 ways. For the life of me I cannot remember where or when I got this bottle but I have been saving it for a little bit of time now, maybe close to a year. I wonder if that accounts for the difference between my score and the average. The beer pours with a slightly hazy golden color and a medium sized head. Aroma is dry and herbal with bitter floral aspects - to me this is all brett. Its very well done, lively and bright, loving it. Flavor is similar, a little more heft to it and a smidgen less brightness but very nice indeed. I think this is exceptionally executed and a 4.4 beer to boot. This is very similar to Beer Table Table Beer. Would love to drink this again.

Golden with a white head. Very much what I want in a saison. Easy drinking, zesty, flavorful. Floral and citrus with a healthy dose of yeasty goodness. More.
