Fruited Tart Ale
In Florida, every hot summer night demands a cold slice of pie. Our answer is Key Lime Pie Tart: a lightly soured ale brewed with real key lime juice, sticky vanilla, cinnamon, and bready wheat malt. It's a refreshing treat as memorable as an evening in Key West. Whipped cream included.

12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some white head. Nose has lime and salt but... not much else. Flavor is lime and lemonade powder. Tart finish. One dimensional.

On tap at Funky Buddha, pours a hazy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out an interesting mix of lime, vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. Flavour is along the same lines, with tart lime, with a touch of vanilla in back. Fairly floral, bordering on soapy. I don't get it.

Bottle from wine warehouse. Pours hazy gold with a soft white head. Aroma is tart lime juice, green leaf. Flavor -holy crap, it’s key lime pie - almost exactly. Tart lime, cream, graham cracker crust, light green leaf. Jesus. Insane how close this came to being what it’s called.

Cloudy, pale tan. Bit perfumey, tart, sweet key lime character is cute, a little goofy but pretty refreshing.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey for the Cigar City & Funky Buddha SAVOR event. Hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of big key limes. Tastes of key lime, vanilla, tart notes. Almost like a key lime pie. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Really good.
