Clear dark brown colour. Aroma is quite musty with some wood, vinegar and red fruits. Flavour has some ginger cake. Also sweet and sour red fruits.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark red color, virtually no head. Smell and taste sourish, sourish fruits. Not a lot more there actually. Not bad, not very good. A decent flemish oud bruin I think, but not my kind of beer.

Dark red/brown, white head. Good and refreshing beer. Well balanced between sweet (maybe a little bit too sweet), sour and bitter. Fruity aroma, wood, balsamico vinegar, and some bitterness. Good example of the style.

33 cl. bottle @ Noa’s Brasserie, Koksijde. Pours brown with a beige head. Vinous aroma with some malts. Tastes like a less sour Rodenbach. I absolutely love the Flemish red-brown beers and this one is no exception. Great beer.

Never heard of this beer before, the brewery turns out to be Verhaeghe. Pours a very dark brown with a ruby hue, descending very creamy white head with incredible lacing. Full 5 just for the lacing. Nose is a bit hard to pick up on account of the beer being too cold, getting some syrup, chocolate & light liquorish here, candy & light red fruits. Taste is very sweet, thick chocolate syrup, cacao, cheap chocolate, thick liquorish, hint Sirop de Liège, thick caramel and light red fruits & overripe fruit, hint cough syrup & some very sweet herbs. Body is touch syrupy, fuller. Very interesting, enjoyable and different but shocked to see this listed as an Oud Bruin on RB, honestly didn’t get any of the vinegar, sour fruits, whatever that other people are talking about. Maybe it is just me…. (25 cl. draft @ Delirium Tap House)

Dobre. Uwielbiam ten styl. Kolebka regionalnej tradycji belgijskiej. Octowy i winny smak jak i zapach. chmielnego aromatu nie ma bo w tym gatunku to było by grzechem. Piekna bezowa i trwala piana czerwony odcien piwa. I ta lekka cierpkosc ze stosowna nuta slodyczy w tle. Debowy posmak takze jest.
