Bottle at Le Pantin, Ixelles, Brussels, Saturday 21st March 2015 Some balsamic on the nose, sweet, tart and with a good sour edge. Loz isn’t a fan of this place so I am gonna have to rush my rating. I actually rather like this beer compared to the frankly drab blonde. It’s sour, tart, tangy, fruity, repeats a little on the way down. Good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg at Six Deg Abz. It pours deep brown with a small light yellow-tan head. The nose is earthy, wood, brett, tangy dark fruits and a touch of malt vinegar. The taste is full of tangy dark fruits, malt vinegar, cola, dried fruits, wood, mild acidity and tart green apple with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Tangy. A bit too much malt vinegar. OK sour brown.

Horecabeurs Pours clear copperbrown , OK white head . Smell is bit sweet , bit metallic funky sourness . Taste is fleshy , sour-sweet . A lot like duchesse de bourgogne ( noted down even before I knew this one was brewed by Verhaeghe .. is this a secret alias ??? ) , fruity and full .

The original Queue de Charrue, since 1986, so the first of a series of beers commissioned by Vanuxeem. Bronze brown beer with thin head and a somewhat weird aroma combining caramelly sweetness with a kind of fruity tartness, metallic hints and something chemical; taste has cloying, candi-like sweetness along with sourness and nutty maltiness, rather thin. Disappointing, certainly for an oud bruin.

Decent Vlaams Oud Bruin beer. Sourrish, with a taste of oaky malt. Always a nice style.
