Tap @ Freshcraft, Denver. Pours light golden with a 1 cm white head. Aroma is belgian yeast, fruit, banan and apples. Taste is much like aroma, sweet fruit with some spices added. Thin to medium body, low carbonation. Pretty good. 070411

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Spicy aroma, with fruits acting as secondary notes and a little yeast. Flavour is dominated by the spices, light fruits, with not much sweetness. A little muted flavours. Quite decent.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 3/27/11
Aroma: The nose is nice mix of spice, yeast, flowers, banana, light citrus, and a hint of apple/pear
Appearance: The pour is a clear golden-yellow color with a frothy white head and decent lacing
Flavor: The flavor has a similar mix to the nose, yeasty, with the proper amount of sweetness
Palate: It has a light body, nice drinkability, not watery at all, and with a fairly soft carbonation
Overall Impression: This was actually a very solid attempt at this style. It wasn't overly sweet like many of the ones you find, in fact, I thought it had just the right amount of sweetness. It was quite drinkable too. The body is light, but not watery or overly carbonated. Anyway, I wasn't expecting this one too be as good as it was, a nice surprise.

Bomber, marked as 7.5% abv - once I saw the abv, I knew I had to try this, because I thought there might be some hope of trying an American-made tripel that wasn’t overly sweet for once - not disappointed - pours a lighty hazy straw color, with a thick, soapy lace - strong phenols hit the nose first, followed by light herbs, a touch of honey, some drier, mineral-like character, lavender, light esters - flavor is crisp, bitter, medium dry (some sweetness, but it dissipates fast) - light esters - earthy phenols, a flinty quality - some spicy gingerbread character - becomes very peppery on the tail end, which compliments the slight alcohol heat in the finish - nicely done - more like a saison in some ways.
