2011+ bottle thanks to mora2000. Pours with a very clear, small particle infused golden hued body with a small white head. Aromas are of lemon zest, floral, medium malt character. Somewhat strong yeast that has a distinct musty note. Flavors are zesty, lightly malty, medium esters with some crushed black pepper. Low phenols. Medium bubbles, dry and light bodied, even for a tripel.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Smells of Belgain yeast, banana. Pours hazy gold with a medium white collapsing head; leaves a ring of foam and itty-bitty lace. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy, meaty, phenolic, soapy, some clove; finishes a little bitter. Carbonation is average, body medium to a little on the thin side. A good, if slightly flawed tripel.

From tap at the Pike brewpub location. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty and light yeasty fruity to spiced. Kept on the dry and phenolic sides. Dry malty and smooth fruity to dry hoppy into the finish.

The new Bete Blanche is amber, with a slight haze, and not much head. Lightly phenolic and lightly malty aroma. Has some strength, a peppery spiciness, and a firm, slightly bready and slightly crackery malt character. Not exciting but functional.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a huge creamy white head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was sweet, bready and musty with notes of sugar and faint fruits, banana and clove. The flavor was tangy and bready with notes of candied golden fruits and must. The finish was long and tangy with lingering sugar and bread. Fairly full bodied. Nice.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Hazy blond color; small creamy head. Light aroma of dirty water and banana. Dry mouthfeel, wheat flavor, light banana; the ending bitterness is a bit too strong. Atypical, not Belgian, but ok.
