The Holy Moose has brought about a gathering of Nordic clans; with it comes a berry IPA overflowing with tart citrus flavour.
Cloudberry, lingonberry, blueberry and sea buckthorn meld with citrusy hops in an intensely sweet, fruity and floral aroma, with toasty malt notes and tropical fruit bursts.
This bitter, resinous IPA follows up with a lemony punch in the mouth - cherry and blueberry sourness takes this pithy pale ale in a new direction, before a long, dry finish.
Hops: Amarillo, Chinook, Mosaic

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.11.15. Dark orange. Beige head. Aroma of clementines, cloudberries, cowberries and rhubarb. Similar, and slightly sour taste. Refreshing, but tart mouthfeel.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy dark amber with off-white head. Aroma of sulfur, pine needles, dark fruits. Tastes fruity-sour, bitter. Thin bodied. Refreshing.

Tap at Ape. Nose is biscuits and berry. Flavor is astringent berries, medium sweetness, very bitter, rough finish that tastes like raspberry seeds. No thanks.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Verksgata: rognebærrød med kort, hvitt skum. Ufrisk aroma av sure, overmodne røde skogsbær (rognebær, tyttebær). Smaken er friskere og har også et hint av blåbær og citrus i seg. Lite og ingenting som minner meg om ipa, heller en sur fruktøl. Et øl med delt personlighet, ingen helstøpt kreasjon. Mer interessant enn egentlig god. Hvis de har brukt molter (cloudberries) greier jeg ikke kjenne dette.
