Light grapefruit and orange. Hazy orange pour with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish with some bitterness. Wheat takes edge off IPA. Bottle.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy cantaloupe hue with a medium off-white pillowy head with nice retention. Aroma consists of cooked vegetables, caramel, citrus powder drink, berries. Taste is like a cross between a Pac-NW IPA and a Belgian wit, which I expected; it starts out sweet before becoming quite bitter. Spicy Belgian yeast (clove is prominent) mingles with American hops to create a completely different beast. Highly carbonated and an oily mouthfeel. Interesting experiment.

22 oz. can. This is an interesting brew. Full, fluffy head that shrank, leaving ¼ inch head. Good lace. Nose is a true blend of wheat, grass and tropical hops. Malt base is bready with some caramel, and somewhat floral. Citrus hops with a hint of that Belgian yeast. Worth a try for sure.

Aroma has soapy citrus, apricot and some peppery spices. Flavour has apricot, some spices and hints of pepper. Interesting and nice. But an IPA? No way, more like belgian ale.

Aroma: The nose is quite fruity (tropical), with some hoppy notes, wheat, and grass
Appearance: It pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head and minimal lacing
Flavor: The taste is moderately sweet, fruity and wheat, with a later lightly bitter hoppiness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a somewhat fizzy carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: This was a pretty solid example of the Wheat IPA, which is a "style" (style of course has to be in quotes here) that is kind of growing on me. Solid stuff, making a good attempt to make wheat the new black when it comes to IPAs.

Bottle. Cloudy golden yellow color, small white head. Aroma of sour lemon bubblegum and a bit of banana. Taste is slightly sour banana, grapefruit. Not bad at all.

Bomber from Wooden Keg in Hagerstown, MD. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of spices, bubblegum, bready malts and earthy hops. The taste is earthy, herbal hops, grapes, bubblegum and a slightly vegetal finish. Thin bodied. Soft carbonation. A bit of a lingering bitterness. Decent.

Bomber from the Vacaville BevMo. Pours hazy light amber with a transient white head. Light aromas of cooked peach and citrus. Med body, at least. It’s very floral. It’s very fruity. It has a hint of that Belgian yeast/spice thing. It’s oh so bitter in a floral/fruity way. It’s sort of Imperial ESB. It’s frickin delicious. Brilliant. Imaginative. New. Delightful. Catch my drift?

Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden hue and a small white head that fades slowly but leaves very good lace. Aromas of strong citrus, lemon, grapefruit, light tropical fruit. Massive amount of yeast based esters as well, light phenol (pepper). A bit grassy. Dry grainy malt aroma. Hops seem to blend well with the yeast on the aroma. Flavors are fruity up front (hops and yeast). Comes across a bit sweeter on the malt profile than I was expecting. Medium bitterness. Malt flavors are bready and full with a touch of sweetness and grainy character. Hop flavors are citrus, herbal, lemon and tropical fruit. Esters are strongly fruity. Grassy. Lighter on the phenols than in the aroma. Bitter balance. Medium bubbles, dry finish. Finish shows lingering esters and malt character over the hops. Decently well crafted Belgian IPA (not typically my favorite).

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Malt and yeast aroma with light hops. Pine and grapefruit flavor with malt. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Pine and grapefruit lingers with malt and light yeast.
