Big yeasty nose with a large hop presence, a prominent carbonation presence reveals a rye spiciness which is extremely dry and interplays well with a strong hop character. Finish is dry and smooth with a lingering bitterness from the hops. Earthy and herbal with very well balanced rye notes. With citrus and lemon peel.

Tap. Pours hazy amber, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, mango, yeast. Flavor about the same, fruity and a bit herbal, light sweet, minimal bitterness, dry finish. Light body.

Draft courtesy of Greg and the Churchkey crew, plus Dave and Mike from 3 Stars - thank you gentlemen! It was a cask of the new B.W. Rye #3 with citra hops and lemon pel added. The appearance was very cloudy gold with a large bubble white head that settles to an edge. The aroma is fresh lemons, but it isn’t overpowering like some citra-hopped beers. The taste is dusty lemons, earth, with a bit of barnyard. A proper saison, very nice.
