From a can, as pictured. Nice wheaty pour, some bottom gunk creates a hypnotic effect. Smell is rather sweet, almost floral. Taste is certainly wheat ale and nothing like hefe so beware. Has a heavy dose of citrus of some kind on the backslide. Something flowery too, not sure. Finish is typica,l almost rude ale impressions.

Can - bought this because Eugene had told me how much he liked it - turbid light orange with a thick, soapy head - looks like a hefe - nose of earthy grains, light banana, yeast, mild pepper - low carbonation - medium body, with a nice heft for the style, but still quite refreshing and quaffable - a hint of sweetness, melon, lime - mostly dry, though, with copious wheaty goodness, a bit of peppery character - lightly spicy finish - clean and refreshing - I really enjoy it - I will never doubt you again, Eugene.

Deliciousness in a can. This is my summer beer for bringing to parties and camping. Already went through two 6 packs and I am very happy Tallgrass made this (however, its said to see the Kold get replaced). It’s an unfiltered wheat in a can for $7 locally a 6 pack. The beer pours with a thick muted golden body. The unfiltered aspect is apparent with its thick hazy color. The head sticks around for a while. While it is definitely an American Wheat there is a bit of banana to the beer, its thick and chewy for the style, and has a definite heft to it yet simultaneously it’s miraculously drinkable. I can say that there are many weaker, thinner, more watered down local wheat beers. There is just a little bit of sweetness to it but overall its light, refreshing, and crisp. This is turning into my conversion-beer. Everyone who has tried it has really enjoyed it. This is a great deal, and the Tallgrass guys make another solid beer. Very little love for this brewer.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a lage white head. Aroma is a nice lemon zest with a creamy yeast. Flavor is again a nice lemon drop with some wheat and a decent yeast profile. A better than average wheat.

12 oz can purchased at Lukas in KCMO. Pour is a hazed darker golden with a well formed two inch off white head. Head falls with larger carbonation bubbles and decent lacing. Aroma is grain wheat, hint of citrus and very faint garlic / clove yeast. Fresh nose, through pretty subdued. The taste is mostly about the malted barley and wheat, grainy straw with a nice earthy body to it. The citrus is present though faint and in the back. Nice mineral shows in the aftertaste. Palate is medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel with great body and a clean dry finish. Refreshing beer with nice character.
