Draft 6 oz pour at the Tangletown location, on the opening day crawl to the stadium. "Tangletown Tiny". Copper pour with a cream foam head and coat lacing. Gentle aroma of caramel and bready malts. Smooth and sweet caramel flavor. Easy drinking, overall a well executed, more or less simple barleywine. Enjoyed this.

12 oz bottle (2011) poured into a snifter. Hazy brownish orange with around a quarter of off-white ring around the glass. Some sediment floaters. Aromas of caramel, dark fruit, syrup, honey. Tastes of caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar, candied fruit, sweet malt. Medium body with a dry and warm finish. Low carbonation, slightly syrupy mouthfeel. Not the most pleasant looking beer but solid otherwise.

Bottle from the brewpub on Pike st., vintage 2011, 2+ years old, 9.9% ABV
Hazy amber color with thin head. Vanilla scented caramel, the aroma is very old school (American school). Sweetish but not syrupy, with good malt and toffee flavor; correct bitterness, with final hop resins.
Not an exciting Barley Wine, nevertheless a good strong beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear (at first) amber with light head. Aromas of brown sugar, raisins and toasted malts. Flavors of golden raisins, toast, caramel, and malts. Very nice balance for a barley wine - quite full and smooth. Yummy.
