Dark brown body with a tan head. Aromas of dark malt, citrus and tropical fruit. Flavors are very nice. Deep toasty malt with dark chocolate as the dominant one with lots of grapefruit and herbal hops.

Sampled on draft at GTMW 2011. Pours a hazy dark red color with a large creamy, frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of earthy, resiny and herbal hops with roasted malts. The taste is earthy notes, roasted malts and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied.

On tap at the brewery. Pours brown with a light tan head. Very piney, herbal aroma against roast coffee. Flavor again leads with lots of herbal and pine hops, backed up again by roast coffee. Kind of thin for a black IPA, still nice, just not too exciting.
