Sampled from draught @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque black color, medium sized firm, steady, lightly creamy beige head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Aroma is moderately malty, nice dark malt roastyness mixed with hops. Superb! Taste malts, roast and hops mixed together superbly again with a malt and hop bitter finish. Very nice. Doninant hops in the aroma, dominant bitter in the flavor.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of liquorice, ash, roasted malts, citrusy hops. Flavour follows, nice roast and ashy flavours, firm hoppiness, bitter finish, bit of caramel. Light bodied, slightly too fizzy imho and a bit too thin, but tasty nevertheless.

Bottle shared. Pours very dark brown with a big thick tan head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits in the forefront, peach and lychee with the stout aspects of light roast, dark chocolate and caramel behind. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Decent and more a black IPA than the name suggests.
