On tap at Birch & Barley, October 2011. Dark brown, almost black with a small tan head. This was a great Imperial Stout with a nice roasted aroma. Nicely balanced taste with roasted malt, some vanilla, chocolate, coffee and some hops. Perfect beer to just sip an enjoy.

Courtesy of riversideAK. Black waxed bomber pours deep darkness with mahogany edges and nice mocha head. The aroma is full up dark roasted malts, some fudge and black strap molasses. The taste is yummy and rich and full of dark roasted malts with slivers of burnt maltiness. It bleeds into pleasing notes of chocolate to midway. Into the finish the burnt malt notes grow to near robust levels and mixed with the other flavors create a delicious after taste.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. There’s a lot of wax! Pours very dark brown/black with a foamy/creamy darkish tan head. I’m getting dark roasted malt and something like herb or anise for aroma. Full bodied. It has hints of brown sugar, lots of dark roasted malt, surely a bit of anise, a good dose of chocolate, and something that’s bitter - so hops of an unidentifiable type. The bitter doesn’t seem to come from the burnt malt - this is too smooth for that. Whoosh. There’s a lot going on here. Swear I just thought of rum. Amazing beer.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a tan head. Aroma of rich roasted malt and light cocoa. Flavour of extremely pronounced roasted notes, espresso, dark cocoa and some sweetness. Exceptional.
