On draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel with some herbal notes. Flavors of tropical fruits. Effervescent mouthfeel. Crisp finish.

Quite decent showing for style - better than many dubbels I’ve had recently. Makes me wonder if they updated their recipe from previous ratings. Florals, some hint of oak, a touch of citrus and some earthy resin. Pours murky. Maroon without much head or lacing. Light sweet finish. Well-balanced. Tap at brewpub.

Bottle shared at the Richmond Industry Gathering. Pours a hazy red-amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of brown sugar, toffee, stone fruits, herbal hops. The taste is toffee, candi sugar and an herbal hop finish. Medium bodied with faint heat.

Hazy deep ruby tinted brown coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, toffee, alcohol, peat and a touch of nuts. Medium-bodied; Nice rich malt and toffee flavours shine through with a little sweetness and earth at the tail end. Aftertaste is quite complex with some peat and smoked notes, a little malt and a lot of sweetness from raisins and pit fruits. Overall, a nice and rather mild dubbel with no harsh flavours at all - relatively straight forward for the style. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 19-January-2012 for US$8.99 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 13-April-2012.

On tap at the brewery. Poured a medium-dark hazy brown color with a medium sized light brown head. Most certainly carbonated. Aroma was malty, rich with mild notes of spice, dark fruits, touch of chocolate in there. Will re-rate the bottles if anything changes once I have one.
