Clear red??? Mine was cloudy brown, with small tan head. Good malt nose promises more than the brew delivers. Light sweet malt flavor with very mild hopping

Bright orangey-brown; malty, demerara-like flavours, some toffee but overall a rather light effort for a winter ale. Other than some fleeting tosaty chocolate notes there is nothing to balance the sweetness, either, which doesn't help matters.
