Bottle on 10/25/2009. Slightly hazy copper orange body with a medium foamy off-white head. Spicy aroma, some banana, and lots of nutmeg. Sweet nutmeg and light cinnamon flavor, with a pumpkin background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

It smells of ketchup, the kind from fast food restaurants that comes in the tiny plastic packs. Pumpkin is also present, but believe me when I say it smells like ketchup. Hazy golden with floaties, thin head. Stale pumpkin flavor with a bit of nutmeg. Powdery and hairy mouthfeel. Uinta is a good brewery, but Iโm not getting the Four+ franchise. The first two Iโve had have been substandard.

Clear dark copper, fleeting white head. Faint spice in the aroma. Not much flavor and none of what I look for in a Pumpkin Ale. Thin.

On tap @ Uinta. Dark copper color with small white head. No lace left on the glass. Pumpkin, nutmeg and spicy aroma. Tastes the same as the smell. Finishing with a sour taste in my mouth. It is much better than most Pumpkin ales on the market, though.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly's, 9/21/09
Aroma: Light spice and malt nose, nutmeg, cinnamon
Appearance: Clear burnt orange, with a thin head
Flavor: Like the nose: light, simple pumpkin spice and malty flavor
Palate: It is relatively light in body and smooth, pretty easy to drink
Overall Impression: This is a decently average and light beer. I wouldn't go out of the way to try this one, but if you are looking for a fairly simple example of the Pumpkin Ale style, this one would work pretty well. The spice is fairly mild compared to others of the style. Overall beer opens a bit as it warms so I'll bump up my overall score a point. Decent beer.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small, off-white head and a clear copper body. Aroma of wheat, cinnamon, and allspice. Taste is wheat and toast like a Marzen with a touch of spice. Fizzy and lightly dry mouthfeel.

12 oz. bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville. Auburn colored pour with a big head, good lacing and great retention. Nice looking beer. Straightforward pumpkin spice and pumpkin aroma. Taste is grain, pumpkin and light spice. Medium bodied. I rather like this one.

12 oz bottle from Douglas88! Thanks! Nose of pumpkin and spices (cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon) lightly hazy copper with a medium beige head; flavor has pumpkin, spiciness, and a little background bitterness. Actually a nice light pumpkin ale; I could drink this all the Thanksgiving weekend, enjoy it, and not get loaded!
