A red ale with character, Ramble On Red uses the unique combination of rye malt and Belgian Special B with Challenger hops. While it has more body than most reds and a malt-forward profile, it is still a session beer of the finest variety.

2 month old pint can A: Clear dark rusty orange with a small quick head and spotty lacing. S: Herbs, dried leaves and toasted bread. T: Bitter piney notes up front linger into dry toasty and herbal flavors with a little orange zest at the end. M: Carbonation is low but tingly. Light body and lightly sticky finish. O: Nicely balanced and drinkable with low sweetness. I'd buy again.

On tap @ NoDa with jcnielsen. Pours a somewhat hazy dark items appearance with a lasting off white head. Definitely some caramel and toffee in the nose with a bit of bubblegum and dark fruit. Fairly high bitterness. Moderately sweet. Some candy notes also apparent in the flavor. Slightly goopy. Moderate piney/spicy hoppy flavor. Decent but maybe a bit thin.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with grainy notes, and British hops. In mouth, roasted burned malt with grassy hops, a bit astringent, OK.

Location: Draft @ Revolution, 12/9/12

Aroma: The nose has some caramel, bread, and other clean malty notes
Appearance: It pours a hazy orange color with a beige head that leaves some heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is medium malty, with a nice balancing hoppy, and a somewhat bready finish
Palate: This one has a medium body, a fairly clean feel, average carbonation, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: This was the first thing I tried from NoDa, and it was some solid stuff for sure. It is not an amazing beer, but I liked it enough to be fairly curious about the rest of their offerings.
