Crisp, very slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thin half centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, lemons and a bit more citrus - interesting and fairly refreshing smelling. Light-bodied; Very sharp lemon and citrus flavours up front with only a touch of malt and complexity right afterwards. Aftertaste shows mostly the citrus - lemons and grapefruits and a touch of malt but a very light and airy beer with some slight sour notes as well. Overall, a fairly one-dimensional beer that is very nice for a hot summer day, but otherwise, it’s simplicity will make this too easy of a beer. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Cary, North Carolina for US$2,49 on 02-August-2014 sampled at home in Washington on 26-September-2014.

From the July 2014 3R6P gathering. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a clear pale yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet Pez, vague fruits and artificial sugar. The flavor was tart and bitter bread dough, Pez and citrus. Medium length finish. Light to medium body. Meh.

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear yellow with a creamy, white head. Mildly effervescent. Good cereal character, white bread, mild dough. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, pretty clean, with doughy white bread, more cereal, minimal bitterness. Tasty. Nobody showing much love for this kolsch. But I like it.

Slightly hazy yellow-gold with a small white head. Grain, light fruit aroma. Flavour is grassy, fruited, sweet...with a slight citric tartness. Light and refreshing.

Bottle. Sweet grainybarley malt aroma. Hazy deep gold with a small white head, poor retention. Barley malt, and very light grassy flavor. Body on the light side of medium, soft carbonation.

Draft. Clear yellow body with a white head. Light aroma of biscuit, lemon grass, toasted grain, herbs. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fairly crisp except for the touch of raw grain taste. Also tastes of grass, lemon, flowers. Pleasant but not memorable.

22oz bottle picked up in Asheville. Pours a true to style hazy golden-tan, with a thin, respectable head and some lively rising carbonation bubbles. Creamy, classic beer taste, really well executed. Soft and delicate, I get a little brewhouse butter in the aroma, very faint. Minty orange hop balance. Clean. This is a really great stateside example of the style, refreshing.
