A golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, caramel with Brett notes, berry notes. In mouth, a smooth sweet butterscotch malt with white wine notes, Brett, very nice and smooth. On tap at Humpy’s Oct. 9 2011.

750 ml. Hazy golden body. Big, fizzy white head. Aroma of brett, band aid, plastic, barnyard with hints of earth, citrus, spice and flowers. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture and lively carbonation. Tastes of sweet citrus fruits, especially orange, is tempered a little by hop bitterness and brett funkiness. The beer is on the sweet side, though, and the sweetness, combined with the funk, leave a slight taste of artificial sweetener in the finish. Too bad because the beer has lots going on. Pepper, flowers, spice. Nicely nuanced. And overall, a really nice beer.

Farmhousey cut apple aroma, funky, tart, and musty, not terribly strong. Hazy pale amber, thick head. Full body, full flavor. Flavor is identical to the aroma, but finishes with a bitter kiss of parsley. The funk approaches that of becoming medicinal, but stays on the good side. Exemplary saison and very well executed.

Pours hazy golden color with white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with some hints of brett and some grassy hops. Doughy, fruity and spicy flavors with some brett and a hint of hop bitterness. Light to medium body with lively carbonation. I loved this one so much that I went back and bought the other five bottles they had so I can see how it develops over time. Excellent!

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Pours orange gold with a 4 finger creamy white head. Aromas of light stone fruits and barnyard. The barnyard/brett wafted to my nose from a foot away. Med body. It’s tangy. It’s fruity. It’s earthy - really barnyard. Finishes with downright farmyard. I’d a sworn it was a Vinnie creation. It’s brilliant.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. Off-white head quickly dissipates leaving spot lacing to hug rim. Brett aromas. Dry with sweet marshmallow and earthy cookie followed by candi before the lasting mildly bitter hop finish.

Sampled on tap at SIB, pours hazy golden yellow. Aroma of citrus, yeast, orange zest and lemon. Flavour of citrus / lemon and orange with a slight sourness. Very nice.
