750mL C&C poured into teku glass. Nice strong medium sized head with a slightly slick golden color. Big bretty nose and not that horrid goat’s oil Brett usual for De Proef. Brett is a bit oily but more like slick funk. Thick herbal Belgian esters near the Brett. Flavor has a sweet but lean sweet backbone surrounded by herbal thick Brett. Soft and felt on the cheeks.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped poured into a tulip. The guy at Party Source said this was their "Signature Ale", he was wrong. Pours nice clear rich golden with big fluffy white head. Aroma is floral yeast, medium/light body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is fruit, floral yeast, spice, alcohol, and dry finish. Too much alcohol comes through, pass.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but probably brewed in 2011. Pours slightly cloudy golden amber color with a nice 2-3 finger fluffy white head with nice retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of huge lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, peach, grass, hay, pepper, herbal, earth, and yeast spiciness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity; very fruity and tropical from the Brett. Taste of lemon zest, pineapple, orange peel, pepper, peach, citrus rind, hay, floral, grass, wheat, earth, and yeast spiciness. Slight earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pineapple, citrus rind, pepper, peach, grass, hay, floral, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Very nice flavor complexity and balance; with a nice malt and spicy ester balance; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a lightly slick and prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Brett Saison. Very nice flavor balance and complexity; and extremely smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering as expected.

Hazy orange. Fresh fruit aroma with light sour and funk notes, too. Lightly sweet fruits, bright flavor, a bit of sour fruit, soft spice. Musch more refreshing than I had expected. Nice.

Great, slightly hazy brushed gold with a pure white head. Limited lacing but the body of the head generally remains. Sour with slight wheat and some pronounced spice on the nose. I think the brett overpowers the saison aspects of this beer. It is tasty, but hard to get much of the saison characteristics. The bitterness lends a nice frame to this beer, and it has a solid dry finish.

Bottle. Pours with a murky/hazed golden yellow body with a medium sized rocky white head. Decent retention, above average lacing. Aromas of funk and brett phenolics, some spicy hop notes, pineapple, barnyard, horseblanket. A bit of ginger, pepper and light grain. Flavors of funk, alcohol, bready malt, a bit of ginger. Feels a bit big and flabby despite the brett. Floral hop notes. An odd oily quality. A good amount of funk. Extremely lively carbonation, pretty, dry, warming, medium to slightly lighter bodied.

22 oz bottle, sent by a close friend back in PA in July 2011. It was time to drink, no more sitting in the basement. HUGE funk nose, yeast and Brett. Taste is a peppery yeast, sweet malts, pineapple with light sour notes. ABV is well masked. Dry finish, Lots of herbal hops as it warms. Complex. I am very glad my friend was able to grab this for me. I’m smiling and drunk at this point in the night!
