Brewed in full collaboration with Sint Canarus in Belgium, by Piet and Ben, Grant is a big bold Imperial Red Ale, with the piny resinous quality of the dankest American Hop-monsters, coupled with the fruity esters and dynamic body produced by Piet’s infamous Belgian yeast. Named for Ben’s Great-Grandfather, Grant is a strong old soul of a brew - vibrantly fresh while young, wise and contemplative with age. 10.4% ABV.

Bottle courtesy of argo0, who for some reason actually brought a good beer to this tasting. Hazy chestnut color, large fluffy off white head. Aroma of sweet red plums, cranberries, citrus. Taste is malty red fruit of some sort.

26/05/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: not indicated (2011-229)

Reddish brown coloured beer, very light beige head, very stable and adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, peaches, passion fruits, forest fruits, a little sour touch, some caramel. MF: good carbon, full body, rich and creamy texture. Taste: sweet malts, red fruits, touch of wood, caramel, spices, a little bitter. Aftertaste: little candi sugar, sour twist again, fruity, some alcohol as well. Ends a bit dry, perfectly balanced. Man this is good stuff!
