I’ve had this before, in the 90s so technically this is a re-rate. Draught at the brewery. Golden-amber. Thin head. Some light bubble gum phenols...not a characteristic of Uerige yeast. On the palate, thin, flabby and again bubblegum. No way this tasted like this in 1984, not with that yeast. ☹️

On tap at Widmer, pours a clear copper with a medium beige head. Aroma is subtle, with toasted biscuity malt and some light nuttiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted nuts, bready malt and a hint of caramel. Restrained but clean and decently brewed, but very weak and uninspiring.

Draft at the brewpub. Clear amber, white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste of caramel with a smoky edge. Exactly on style.

Draught @ Widmer Brothers Gasthaus, Portland, OR. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a Sweetish malty caramel aroma with some hints of hops. Sweetish malty hoppy caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish.

Draft. An amber beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel and fruit. The flavor is dry with strong notes of bisquits and caramel as well as hints of citrus, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is thin. Somewhat boring.

Draught. Came amber with thin head at the right temperature. Much lacing. Malty aroma Malty flavour with much bitterness and a bit of metal in the finish
