Served fuckin freezing cold, you can get more taste out of chewing ice cubes than from this one! Some roast detected.

Bottle shared by Caleb, thanks! Pours dark brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains and a strong straw note with a touch of hay. Flavor has earth sweet dark grains with a decent amount of straw and a hint of roast.

Shared by evan, thanks!. Dark brown color. Dry malt and a little sugar, some earth near the finish. I like this. It is close to the real thing, except for the lack of carbonation.

Baclog from travel in Mocambique. Dark brown, almost black. Fine head that quickly disappears to nothing. Sweet aroma, with roaste malt. Taste of dark caramel and roaste malt. Fine aftertaste.

Bottle smuggled back for me, thanks for the opportunity Tony! Pours a solid dark brown with a smallish quickly dissipating off white head. Smells heavy on the caramel and burnt sugars. Light fruity aromas and little to no hop. The flavor is rich caramel and earthy burnt sugars with a touch of mineral. Spirited carbonation gives a spritzy bubbly mouthfeel. Well it doesn’t suck, but the caramel seems a bit overbearing and artificial.

340 ml bottle at the Southern Sun hotel bar in Maputo. Easily the best beer I have ever had in Africa. Pours dark and clear maroon, small beige head with moderate retention. Aroma of milk chocolate. Taste is milk chocolate and dilute coffee grounds. Medium body. Extra credit for being a non-lager. Good stuff.
