This was poured into a chalice.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a slim finger’s worth of white foaminess that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. No lacing.
The smell had a sweet to lightly spiced \"iced apples\" with a slight crisp citrus coming in underneath. Light spice of coriander opens up and rounds out the aroma.
The taste was mainly balanced between the sweet and the spice leaving a sweet fruity aftertaste leading into a wet sticky sweet fruity finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Alcohol seems to be well hidden adding a light carbonation gracing to allow a nice smooth sweet stickiness rolling over my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Tripel. But I do wonder if Stoudt’s spelled that on purpose on the bottle, funny to me - don’t care enough either. Still, I would drink again.

Not overly impressed with this one, head was on the weak side, light aroma and taste. I compare all tripels to Karmaliet, so it’s in some tough company. Decent but not outstanding.

Bottle. Poured a clear golden orange color with a small slightly foamy white head. Aroma is nice light hops, some malts, and alcohol with some sweet sugar character here. Flavor was alcohol, booze, sweet cereal notes - yeast. Enjoyable.

Medium hazy orange with a lasting white head. Aroma is very fruity, bright fruits, sweet, light yeast. Medium to full body. Flavor is fruity, spice, yeast, sweet, light clove. Flavor is much more enjoyable than the aroma. Nice beer.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle with bird on the shoulder of a monk poured into a trappist glass. Pours clear pale golden with small white head, little lacing, very little carbonation, and light clove aroma. Taste is stale clove, hints of fruit, grainy yeast, some alcohol, and slightly bitter finish. Expected more, really not comparable to the other triples I have had lately.
