Bottle from Discount. Pours a deep brown to black with almost no head. Huge coffee nose that dominates with cacao nib, wood and milk chocolate undertones. Good carbonation with more chocolate and coffee. Light on the palate but has a nitro cold brew quality to it. Roasty coffee finish, with some sweetness. This is legit!

12 ounce bottle. Pours a pitch black color that is actually dark brown when held up to the light with a small white head. A huge coffee nose. Very rich coffee, vanilla, green coffee beans, sugary vanilla. Coffee beers aren’t usually my thing, but this is still good.

As Coffee Stout. A deep dark stout with a thick collapsing brown head. In aroma, smooth resinous coffee grind with light chocolate, treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, light vanilla, light chalky notes, nice and smooth. Bièropholie imports.

12 oz bottle from Buy Rite. Dark brown pour. Minimal head and light lace. Coffee aroma. Medium sweetened coffee flavor. Mild lactose flavor. Finishes dry, some roastiness. Fairly clean, average carbonation. Solid.

Bottle poured to pint glass. Dense black-brown. Medium head. Big coffee aroma with coffee dominating the taste. One dimensional, but good nonetheless.

Bottle pour into pint glass from Whole Foods (2015), can pour 2021. Aroma is milk chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. Appearance is almost opaque black--small area dark brown at edges of glass with nice sparkle, 1/2 width off white milky head with nice sticky lacing. Taste is moderately bitter roasted malts, coffee and baker's chocolate. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thin, smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a mix of sweet and bitter that goes a little over the edge toward bitter dominance (2021). A little thin.

Solid dark brown color with a good sized frothy beige head that persists. Big coffee on the aroma and creamed coffee on the flavor. Could use a big more sweetness and body to stand up to the huge coffee, but tasty just the same.

Lots of coffee here, and not enough roast to sustain it. Pours dark brown with OK head. Slightly sour cloying finish. Bottle sample pour at whole foods.
