Barley Wine - Barley Special Out of Production
Score
7.11
ABV: 11.7% IBU: 80 Ticks: 7
This intensely flavorful ale was brewed for the 2000th batch made at the Fulton production brewery. Enormous malt is met with huge hop character (80 IBU’s), and additional dry-hopping with Crystal and Ahtanum varieties gives an even more complex fruity aroma. Quantity is extremely limited.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet alcoholic with strong notes of peaches and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and peaches as well as light alcoholic notes that tickles the tongue. It has a thick body.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fat aroma of caramel and aroma hops. Very full-bodied with fat and rich notes of sweet malt, fruit, vanilla and licorice all-sorts. Almost sherry-like. Sweet but also hoppy finish. Very delicious indeed. 290607

Hazy light amber colour. Lightly fruity, a bit apricotty. Very candy sweet. Full body, a bit sticky. Decent flavour development but you really need to be in the mood for sweet.
