Poured from a 22 oz bottle with a bottling date of 12/1/2010. Aroma is malt forward with lots of dark caramel and some toffee notes. Some lighter chocolate notes with some rye spice. Light bourbon notes with a bit of oak. Hints of alcohol spice. Light raisin, fig and prune notes. Pours black with dark brown hues and a medium sized, thick, light mocha head that recedes slowly, but steadily to the edges where it lingers on the edges. Moderately small lacing and medium small legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some light rye notes, moderately strong caramel and toffee. Lighter chocolate and burnt sugar notes. Light bourbon notes with faint oak. Light roast and medium bitterness. Light alcohol spice. Light raisin, fig and prune notes. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol notes. Overall, a good beer but not a great one. A bit boring as well, but for the price and availability it was worth it. More fruit as it warms. A little more bourbon and malt complexity would be nice.

bottle - Pours very dark amber with a tan head. It has an aroma of dark fruit, malt, and bourbon. The flavor is very sweet with ample bourbon character. Full bodied. The barrel aging was kind to this tasty brew.

Opaque black - brown beer. Good sized fluffy pale tan head. Nice oaky nose. With 7 years worth of Jewbelation blended I was expecting a thick black tar of a beer, but the palate is surprisingly light. Also smooth and soft. Nice oaky vanilla dark malt with mild coffee. Creamy malt and a little rye spice. Sweet mild whisky. Subtle generic fruits in the undertone. Smooth finish. Really nicely joined up and very drinkable.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and some roated notes, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. A bit all over the place.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of byaeger. Pours a very dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, light brown head. Sweet vanilla oak aroma with a slightly roasty edge combined with burned caramel. Rich body, a little roasty, again loads of burned caramel, vanilla and wood. Warming alcohol finish combined with some perfumy hops. Delicious. 221112

Bomber received in trade. Thank you Claspada! Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a frothy goldenish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with caramel, alcohol, vanilla fudge, roasted coconut, grass, wood and vanilla fudge. Taste is sweet and bitter with caramel, pine, orange peal, grass, vanilla fudge, roasted coconut, resinous wood, whisky, toffee and vanilla fudge. Mouthfeel is smooth, round, boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet with caramel, orange peal, alcohol, grass, roasted coconut, sweet dark bread and toffee.
