Clear light copper and amber coloured body with a hint of an orange glow and a thick, three centimetre tall soapy white head and zillions of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of apples, pears, yeast, sugars, honey, grass and a tiny bit of alcohol - no juniper berries noticeable to me at least. Medium-bodied; Assertive alcohol flavour at first with pear and apple sweetness right behind, no bitterness nor maltiness to speak of. Aftertaste a pleasant mix of apple, pear, alcohol and a hint of yeast and bread. Overall, a relatively light and approachable beer with no harshness nor depth. Great to sample and even though it’s probably not available at all anymore, I’m glad I was able to drink it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 26-June-2010 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington almost three years later, a few days before returning back to Alaska, on 19-May-2013.

Bottle thanks to DaSilky - shared with Jcwattsrugger. Pours apricot brown. White head. Nose/taste of berries, citrus and florals. Spiciness in taste. Very full nose and mouth feel. This beer is absolutely amazing for a gruit.

Bottle courtesy of MrChopin, thanks very much! Subtle citrus in the aroma and the flavor, but not much else.
