Exit 1 is beer brewed with oysters. The creamy flavor of English chocolate and roasted malts harmonizes with minerals from oyster shells. Irish ale yeast adds a bit of fruitiness and a dry crispness. The rich stout is perfect for cool weather-and especially delicious when paired with a few Jersey oysters on the half shell.

bottle pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is light brine and brown sugar. Flavor is toasted malts with lots of nutty and burnt character. Ends with a light brine and soft floral notes that seem odd, but work.

75 cL bottle. Pours pitch black with a fully gone head. Aroma is dark roasted, rich on toffee and breadish notes. Smooth roasted liqourice and toffee malt flavoured. Light sweetness and vague roasted acidic touch. Dry and roasted finish.

750 from Wine Specialist. Pours black with a three+ finger dark tan head - very creamy. Primarily dark roasted/burnt malt for aroma, but there is something unusual. Full bodied with sharp, foamy carbonation. Flavor is the malt bitter, with a touch of coffee, and something sweet that goes in and out. Very nice. Gets more coffee with time. No detectable Ostreidae bits, but there’s something more than usually smooth about this very good stout.

Bottle via a trade with hbmason. Pours with a murky deep brown body and a fading deep brown head. Aroma of coffee, earthy clay, salt and fudge. Taste is coffee, salt, chocolate and a bit bitter. Creamy carbonation.

750ml bottle sampled at the DC Local tasting. Pours a slightly viscous, opaque black with a thin, ringing brown head. Toasty, nutty aroma, sweet too. Flavor is molasses, brown sugar, toast, coffee, slightly nutty. Slightly sticky otherwise dry finish. Not bad.
