Exit 1 is beer brewed with oysters. The creamy flavor of English chocolate and roasted malts harmonizes with minerals from oyster shells. Irish ale yeast adds a bit of fruitiness and a dry crispness. The rich stout is perfect for cool weather-and especially delicious when paired with a few Jersey oysters on the half shell.

Pint can, poured dark brown with beige head. Medium bodied. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma. Chocolate and coffee taste upfront, burnt malt and oyster saltiness asserted after that through the long finish.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black color topped by a small bubbly tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and charcoal. Flavor is smooth and creamy with roasted malt, chocolate, brine and seaweed. Rich and flavorful with an ashey, fruity dark malt character. Quite good.

750ml bottle thanks to Toby. Pours out black topped with cream sand head. Nose is a little past its prime some roast malts a little mineral and a nice light coffee. Taste is more of the roast malts a little brine notes some earthy notes and chocolate.

Bottle. Pour oily black with large spongy tan head, faint mocha aroma, high carbonation, lightly bitter mocha taste with alcohol undertones, faint mineral flavor, thick body, long mocha finish. The occasionally felt mineral taste reminded me of my childhood vitamin drops.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a near jet black color with a medium brown head. A big roasty ashy nose. Toast, smoke, salty, darker roasted malts. Very good. Slick palate at times. Salty brine finish. Very nice.

12 oz bottle thanks to Willrunforbeer on this share! Almost a pitch black color with brown highlights around the edges. Aroma is dry roast, light brine, and bakers chocolate.

Body is almost full and in line with the gravity. Texture and mouthfeel is pretty much creamy and smooth. Flavor is old coffee beans, bakers chocolate and light dry roast. Enjoyable!

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured black and oily with a medium sized foamy dark brown head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was bitter and toasty with strong floral hops, smoke and a touch of medicine. The flavor was bitter and toasty with notes of coffee, cocoa, vanilla, floral hops, a bit of dark fruit, but, cola and an earthy note. Nicely complex. Long finish. Moderately full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Interesting.

Not as creamy as other stouts, but you can taste the oysters!

Poured from a bottle shared with my ratebeer husband it is a dark brown color with no head. The aroma is like a fudge store and the taste is strong coffee flavor that changes into a coffee and black licorice aftertaste. Where are the oysters?
