The American IPA is a different soul from the reincarnated IPA style. More flavorful than the withering English IPA, color can range from very pale golden to reddish amber. Hops are typically American with a big herbal and / or citric character, bitterness is high as well. Moderate to medium bodied with a balancing malt back bone.

Enjoyed on a soon to be rainy Saturday afternoon in Tampa, FL. Excellent beer name and label art. Very cloudy with rich white head, almost like a red ale, more piney than other IPAs. Just ok.

Lots of lime. Unbalanced in that sense. Clear golden amber pour with really good head. Some bitter end but mostly tangy. Can.

Can. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of spicy hops, fruits, hops, and malt, leading to a very bitter finish.

Can at home I foolishly bought a beer in haste that I thought I hadn’t tried but alas I did so after quickly drinking that on to new exploration. Orange pour one finger head. Nose is malty, herbal and earth. Tastes of orange, earth, grapefruit pith, malt, herbal. Light bodied. Odd kinda.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange yellow with creamy off white head. The aroma is floral, pine, citrus. Thin body, citrus, resin, lingering bitterness, good.

Can: Caramel and pencil shavings nose. Cloudy ochre, medium head, chunks, good lacing. Pencil shavings, tinny, orange overtones, clay. Light body, moderate carbonation.
